Shopping in Montevedeo
Beyond the typical stores on the street level in the downtown area there are two types of shopping available - malls and street markets. This is the mall located in Punta Carretas. It is similar to many in the States, with excellent department stores, shops and restaurants.

There are many street markets in Montevedeo. None as large as this one, La Feira Tristan Narvaja Flea Market. This giant street market covers about a square mile in area, and occurs every Sunday morning. Have a look below.
There is no special order to the location of goods.
An intersection where a cross street is kept clear for passing traffic. Otherwise, packed elbow to elbow.

This just goes on endlessly. My feet hurt after several hours of this.
